With climate deadlines that were set a decade ago quickly approaching, and new targets being pushed further into the future, what else could we be doing to reduce our pharmaceutical carbon footprint over the next decade? We can encourage awareness of programs, such as the NatRUM service, to reduce the risk of unused medicines being sent to landfill. We can advocate for policy change and educate ourselves on options available to us when some of us own or manage pharmacies. This is our future, and we want to keep the profession as sustainable as possible so we can continue to provide exceptional health outcomes for decades to come.
