Abstract

In October 2021, a salvage excavation was conducted in the Mazor designated antiquity site in El‘ad (Permit No. A-9119; map ref. 195070–216/661526–717), prior to housing construction. The excavation, on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and funded by the Arim company, was directed by N. Shachar, with the assistance of Y. Amrani and Z. Lotan (administration), I. Jonish (photography and photogrammetry), A. Shachar and E. Oren (safety), S. Krispin (metal detection), M. Abu (plans), A. Shapiro (geology), P. Gendelman (pottery), R. Kool (numismatics), E. Aladjem (digital scanning), I. Naor (metal laboratory), A. ‘Azab (district archaeologist) and Y. Tepper (guidance).
