Additionally, male lecturers had a higher H-index than females (32 vs. 17; p<0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Whilst there has been a notable decrease in the prevalence of "manels" at major urological surgery conferences, the overall representation of female speakers, though showing signs of improvement, remains limited. It is imperative for the urological community to recognise and address this gender disparity, encouraging an environment where talent is celebrated without regards to gender. Such endeavours set a positive precedent for aspiring urologists.
