Does revascularization improve short-term survival compared to medical therapy in patients with no prior coronary artery disease and moderate to large inducible ischemia on SPECT?
Revascularization may offer a short-term survival benefit over medical therapy in patients without prior CAD who demonstrate moderate to large amounts of inducible ischemia on SPECT.
Revascularization compared with MT had greater survival benefit (absolute and relative) in patients with moderate to large amounts of inducible ischemia. These findings have significant consequences for future approaches to post-single photon emission computed tomography patient management if confirmed by prospective evaluations.
