Assessment of the impact of proposed works on surrounding heritage assets The proposals will not have a negative impact on the current building which is much altered and in part is a restoration of the original plan form. It will also have no negative impact on the Conservation Area as it is not visible from the main conservation area, only from the rear of this and adjoining gardens. It is noted that many recent buildings and extensions to other buildings are also visible. An opening is to be made through the 20th century rear wall of the building, which was constructed when the original rear wing was shortened between 1924 and 1966. Creation of this opening will, therefore, not affect the historic fabric. It is concluded that there is no harm to the conservation area.
