Genome assembly identifies two haplotypes and sex chromosomes in blackthorn aurora moth, indicating genetic diversity.
<ns7:p>We present a genome assembly from a female specimen of <ns7:italic>Rhagades pruni</ns7:italic> (Blackthorn Aurora Moth; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Zygaenidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 1 080.42 megabases and 1 002.89 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (98.65%) is scaffolded into 48 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the W and Z sex chromosomes. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 16.33 kilobases.</ns7:p>
