Genome assembly reveals two haplotypes of Pyrgus alveus, highlighting the genomic structure and mitochondrial sequence.
<ns3:p>We present a genome assembly from a male specimen of <ns3:italic>Pyrgus alveus</ns3:italic> (Large Grizzled Skipper; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Hesperiidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 735.65 megabases and 733.99 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (98.88%) is scaffolded into 24 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the Z sex chromosome. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 15.45 kilobases.</ns3:p>
