Investigation demonstrates that texture affects energy density and flux pinning in IrZr₃, suggesting design pathways for better superconductors.
We investigate the role of crystallographic texture and compositional effects on the superconducting properties of the negative thermal expansion (NTE) material IrZr₃. Using an empirical model, we calculate an energy density term E = -1.573 kJ/m³, suggesting a texture-mediated stabilization mechanism. This work proposes experimental validation routes linking uniaxial NTE to enhanced flux pinning, offering insights for designing strain-resistant superconductors Description:Probes texture (A) and composition (wt%) as control parameters, identifying A_opt ≈ 0.62 for peak J_c. Links uniaxial NTE to anisotropic flux pinning through E = -1.573 kJ/m³ experimental validation
