This research demonstrates how chaos theory and fractal analysis improve risk management in financial markets, highlighting its implications.
This research investigates the applicability of chaos theory to finance, elucidating the intricate dynamics of financial markets. By examining chaotic systems, which are deterministic yet highly sensitive to initial conditions, this study challenges traditional financial theories. The study employed an optimization algorithm to identify chaotic behavior in the financial system, with a Lyapunov Exponent of 0.442 and a Fractal Dimension of 1.132. Graphical representations, such as time series and phase portraits, were utilized to illustrate these results. The comprehension of chaotic market behavior facilitates the management of risk and the detection of bubbles, offering an alternative to stochastic models for predicting stock prices and risk management. The insights gained from this study could assist policymakers and financial analysts in anticipating market dynamics and implementing strategies to mitigate chaos, thereby contributing to the development of more robust financial systems and enhanced risk management practices.
