Comparative analysis highlights increased teaching quality and job satisfaction in fashion education, suggesting UIC's significant role.
This study examines the role of university-industry cooperation (UIC) in enhancing teaching quality and supporting university and faculty development. Based on a comparative analysis of fashion education in China and Hungary, the research explores how UIC influences educators' teaching skills, sense of self-efficacy, and job satisfaction through interviews with faculty members. In addition to its positive impact on these teacher characteristics, the findings highlight similar benefits for curriculum relevance, pedagogical innovation, and the development of dual professionalism among educators. While individual experiences with UIC vary, the study emphasizes that structured, well-supported collaboration between universities and industries can serve as a powerful tool for university and faculty development.
