Descriptive survey reveals management dysfunctions low among teaching personnel in private HEIs, suggesting impact on organizational commitment.
Teachers play a critical role in the success of educational institutions, serving as a driving force and key predictor of institutional outcomes. This study aims to address management dysfunctions and their impact on organizational commitment among teaching personnel in private higher education institutions (HEIs) in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Philippines. The researcher employed a descriptive-survey method to gather data from respondents regarding the extent of management dysfunctions and their level of organizational commitment. To determine the level of these variables, the weighted mean was used for data analysis. Additionally, a descriptive-correlational approach was applied to examine the relationship between management dysfunctions and organizational commitment. The study revealed that management dysfunctions in private HEIs within the region were generally low, while organizational commitment among teaching personnel was moderately high. Furthermore, a moderate positive correlation between management dysfunction and organizational commitment was observed, indicating that teachers’ resilience, passion for their profession, and supportive work environments helped them remain dedicated despite challenges. The findings provide valuable insights into how management dysfunctions influence organizational commitment.
