Checklist presents 18 eurytomidae species from Morocco, suggesting the potential for new taxa in North Africa.
We present for the first time a checklist of Moroccan Eurytomidae based on samples collected in cork oak Maâmora forest, completed with a thorough bibliographic search. The number of recorded Eurytomidae from Morocco increased to 18 species, classified in four genera and one subfamily, including novel records of: Eurytoma dentata Mayr, 1878, E. martellii Domenichini, 1960, E. rosae Nees, 1834, Sycophila binotata (Fonscolombe, 1832), Tetramesa romana (Walker, 1873), and T. stipae (De Stefani, 1901). Some specimens could not be assigned to described species, possibly representing novel undescribed taxa.
