The article highlights the main directions of Prof. N.A. Kupina's scientific activity: poetics and stylistics of the artistic text, colloquialistics, linguoideology, creativity stylistics, linguoaxiology. N.A. Kupina is the author of educational and artistic publications on speech etiquette, rhetoric, culture of speech. N.A. Kupina's works devoted to the description of totalitarian language in the Soviet society and revealing the forms of Russian linguistic resistance to totalitarianism are included in the golden fund of Russian philological science
