In vitro tests determined that a 0.01% aqueous emulsion of synthetic pyrethroid effectively eradicates Psoroptes cuniculi in rabbits, indicating its potential value as an acaricide.
The presented work presents the results of experiments conducted in vitro, aimed at identifying effective concentrations of aqueous emulsions of an acaricidal agent from the group of synthetic pyrethroids (active ingredient 5 % tetramethrin EC) against Psoroptes cuniculi mites - the causative agents of rabbit psoroptosis. As a result, it was found that the least concentrated, but 100% effective against ticks was a 0.01 % aqueous emulsion.
