Review highlights challenges and solutions to convert waste plastics into valuable chemical feedstocks, supporting sustainability.
The Cover Feature reflects a strong desire to recycle waste plastics as valuable carbon resources through pyrolysis technologies. Waste plastics are converted into oil by pyrolysis, and this oil is subsequently refined by in existing petroleum refinery units. The resulting chemical feedstocks are utilized in various materials and everyday products, and the post-consumer plastics generated from these products are once again converted into oil—thus completing the cycle.
