This novel fluorescent probe identifies hepatocellular carcinoma via H2O2 detection, suggesting enhanced surgical navigation.
A mitochondria-targeted fluorescent probe (HV) sequentially activated by H2O2 and viscosity was constructed. Probe HV exhibits high specificity and excellent biocompatibility. Due to the upregulation of mitochondrial H2O2 and viscosity in cancer cells, HV is capable of illuminating hepatocellular carcinoma. HV surpasses the limitations of single-marker detection of liver cancer and enables powerful imaging-guided hepatic cancer resections, improving the precision of liver diagnosis and treatment.
