This research aims to understand how the digital era influences the forming of cultural identity and local history understanding in high school students in DKI Jakarta. With rapid advances in information technology, young generations are exposed to multiple sources of information related to culture that frequently ignores local values. The method we used are questionnaires, which allows efficient data accumulation. Respondents come from a variety of schools in DKI Jakarta that are taken randomly to ensure representativeness. From the calculation results, digital era influences on understanding local history by 51,2%, digital era also influences cultural identity by 58%. Both of the results were proven to give positive and significant correlations.
