Experimental analysis shows optimized surface quality for TC4 alloy using specific laser energy density, indicating potential for improved manufacturing processes.
This study utilizes a nanosecond pulsed laser to eliminate the surface oxide layer of TC4 alloy, thereby improving its performance in subsequent manufacturing processes. By means of finite element simulation assisted experimental analysis, the effect of laser energy density on the microscopic morphology of the cleaned surface and the evolution of the elements was investigated, and the results showed that when the laser energy density was 5.09 J/cm 2 and the scanning speed was 5000 mm/s, the surface of the substrate was clean and relatively flat, and the mass fraction of the O element was reduced to the lowest (4.73 wt%), and the mass fraction of the Ti element was the highest (92.11 wt%), and the quality of the cleaned surface was optimal, which can be used for laser cleaning of the TC4 surface. 92.11 wt%), the cleaning surface quality reaches the best, which can provide a reference for the laser cleaning TC4 oxide film process parameters.
