Genome assembly reveals two haplotypes of Erebia mnestra with 448.85 Mb and 449.32 Mb length, indicating genetic diversity.
<ns3:p>We present a genome assembly from a male specimen of <ns3:italic>Erebia mnestra</ns3:italic> (Mnestra’s Ringlet; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Nymphalidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 448.85 megabases and 449.32 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (99.83%) is scaffolded into 12 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the Z sex chromosome. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 15.21 kilobases.</ns3:p>
