Qualitative research reveals social sustainability actions in clothing industry, indicating alignment with GRI standards.
The aim of the research is to identify, in sustainability reports, the actions of clothing industries that meet the three pillars of sustainable development: economic, environmental, and social. The methodological procedures were based on the Triple Bottom Line model, with qualitative and descriptive research, and data collection from the sustainability report of a Brazilian textile company from the year 2023. The qualitative data analysis was conducted based on the standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). The results show that the sustainability practices most emphasized by company "X" are related to the social dimension of sustainability, although in alignment with the other dimensions.
