Review highlights ultrasonic technologies improving surface quality and reducing porosity in additive manufacture.
One of the main problems of additive manufacture is the low quality of the surface layer of the resulting products, which is expressed in the high roughness and porosity of the surface layer. One of the methods to struggle with these shortcomings is the use of ultrasonic technologies, which are applied in the form of surface-plastic deformation or liquid processing. The first part of the work is devoted to a review of modern research on the use of ultrasonic surface-plastic deformation for post-processing of additive manufacture products.
