Reviewing ultrasonic technologies to improve surface quality in additive manufacturing, indicating potential for better product outcomes.
One of the main problems of additive manufacturing is a low quality of the surface layer of the resulting products, which is expressed in a high roughness and porosity of the surface layer. One of the methods to combat these shortcomings is the use of ultrasonic technologies, which are applied in the form of surface-plastic deformation or liquid processing. The seconds part of the work is devoted to a review of modern researches on the use of ultrasonic liquid processing to ensure the quality of the surface layer.
