Research demonstrates that hydrogen peroxide effectively oxidizes metals and alloys, indicating the role of iodine additive.
It is shown that hydrogen peroxide can be used as an effective oxidizer of metals and alloys in watered organic media in the presence of mineral or carboxylic acids and a promoting iodine additive. A quantitative assessment of the addition method influence of aqueous solutions into a load on process characteristics, phase component distribution of a reaction mixture, conditions of the selective use of peroxide in the process and other factors have been studied.
