Research assesses ecological impact from anthropogenic activity in Karaganda, suggesting increased green spaces.
The work is devoted to the assessment of the ecological state of the territory of the Karaganda city by bioindication. As an object of research, we used the leaves of ordinary lilac varieties "Hungarian" and "Akku". Lilac plants planted on the lawn along the highway on the street and square were selected for the study. As a result of the measurements, the level of fluctuating asymmetry was determined, which increases with increasing anthropogenic impact. In such a situation, it is necessary to carry out environmental measures, for example, to increase the area of green areas. The results of the average morphological values of lilac leaves showed that the characteristics of the studied parameters vary from 10 to 20%, which indicates low variability and the possibility of using these signs in bioindication studies.
