Purpose: Bhagavata Purana or Shrimad Bhagavatam is one of the oceanic routes to the achievement of a meaningful life. It has been interpreted through different lenses by many philosophers. The paper sights to survey and compare the interpretations occupied by most major schools like Advaita, Vishishtadvaita and Dvaita and by Sampradayas like Gaudiya, Vallabha and Nimbarka and also by modern and historic philosophers. Sketching out from all these sources the review obtained underlines the thick and thin layers where the society are prone to puzzlement and complexity in understanding concepts. Design/Methodology/Approach: Review is analysed using qualitative research methods by referring to secondary sources and also by study of commentaries and interpretations. Results/Findings: By consolidating these perspectives, this paper reveals on the theological essence given by Sri Madhwacharya whose work on Bhagavata aligns offering divine realism grounded to the concepts core that are thorough and precise providing clarity in understanding. Originality / Value: This paper serves as a useful resource for scholars interested in comparative Vedantic studies as it fills a gap in comparative analysis by determining Dvaita Vedanta amidst other Vedanta schools offering new thoughts for scholars in the field of philosophical and religious studies.
