Proposed a method that reduces computational complexity in five-axis CNC machining, improving efficiency.
Aiming at the problems of high computational complexity and low efficiency of the existing five-axis CNC machining cutter non-interference feasible domain solution method, this paper proposes a fast generation method. The method takes the ball end milling cutter as the research object, and constructs a hierarchical enclosing box model through the cutter position points to quickly screen the discrete point cloud of obstacles and extract the obstacle boundary. Based on the geometric offset strategy, the obstacle boundary is directly converted to the interference-free feasible domain boundary. The experimental results show that the method significantly reduces the feasible domain solving time.
