This nanozyme demonstrates powerful glutathione peroxidase activity in solution, highlighting its redox adaptability.
We report the design and synthesis of a constitutionally adaptive tellurium‐substituted crown ether nanozyme via single‐atom chalcogen substitution. This redox‐responsive macrocycle can reversibly switch between an amphiphilic state and a highly water‐soluble configuration in the presence of oxidants or reducing agents. Its thiol/disulfide conversion efficiency in aqueous media surpasses that of Ebselen, a known organoselenium drug, mimicking glutathione peroxidase (GPx) activity. This work establishes a minimal‐structure, high‐function platform for aqueous nanozyme catalysis and redox‐controlled supramolecular systems.
