Research demonstrates improved acoustic performance in composite sandwich structures with asymmetric face sheets, indicating potential design advancements.
This research focuses on enhancing the acoustic properties of underwater composite sandwich structures. Initially, a comparison is made between the acoustic performance of composite sandwich structures with traditional symmetric and asymmetric face sheets. Findings indicate that employing asymmetric face sheets can lead to an improvement in the acoustic performance of these structures. Subsequently, the study explores the mechanism by which the thickness of asymmetric face sheets affects the acoustic absorption capabilities of composite materials. Lastly, the Bayesian optimization algorithm is applied to determine the structural parameters of the face sheets. The optimized structure aligns with the design of asymmetric face sheets. This research has the potential to contribute innovative perspectives to the design of acoustic structures in underwater composite materials.
