Simulation results show superior performance of adaptive polar codes in image transmission systems, indicating efficiency in varying channel conditions.
Leveraging the advantages of polar codesnamely their low encoding and decoding complexity and excellent bit error performancethis paper proposes a complete image transmission system based on adaptive polar codes to enhance image quality under varying channel conditions in Gaussian channels. By designing a rate lookup table tailored to specific channel conditions, the system can autonomously select coding rate parameters according to channel state information for efficient encoding and decoding. Furthermore, a comprehensive system performance evaluation framework is established using metrics such as bit error rate (BER), peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR), and structural similarity index (SSIM). Simulation results demonstrate that, compared with conventional digital transmission schemes based on polar codes, the proposed system achieves superior performance.
