This research shows enhanced thermal stability and conductivity in graphene/polyvinyl alcohol composites, suggesting better applications in electronics.
The application of polymer composite materials in flexible electronics, thermal management, coatings and other fields is becoming increasingly widespread, but their insufficient thermal stability and thermal conductivity limit their use in high temperature or high-power environments. Graphene/polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) composite materials were prepared by mechanical exfoliation using Graphene and polyvinyl alcohol as important raw materials in a solid-state shear pan-milling chemical reactor and characterized by scanning electron microscopy morphology and structure analysis, infrared analysis, X-ray diffraction analysis, thermogravimetric analysis, and thermal conductivity analysis. The results showed that Graphene was wrapped in polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), and the thermal stability and thermal conductivity of Graphene/PVA composite materials increased with the increase of Graphene content.
