Research reveals essential professional competencies in Kazakhstan, suggesting competency-based learning may enhance workforce readiness.
This study analyzes the structure of professional competencies within the professional standards of the Republic of Kazakhstan, developed by the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs NCE "Atameken". The research focuses on identifying the most in-demand knowledge and skills, detecting overlaps between professions, and establishing the relationship between qualification levels and competencies. Using a graph-based model implemented in Neo4j, the analysis reveals that fundamental competencies, such as business process analysis, are required across multiple qualification levels, while specialized knowledge is concentrated in higher-level roles. The overlap of key skills across different functions within professions like System Analyst and Network Administrator suggests the potential for modular, competency-based learning approaches. These findings provide valuable insights for optimizing educational curricula and workforce training strategies, ensuring better alignment between education and labor market demands.
