Observational analysis examined mechanical properties of TA15 alloy at varying heat treatment temperatures, suggesting improved heat resistance.
The use of advanced techniques for manufacturing products requires the careful choosing of appropriate substances for each industry. Titanium-infused alloys are commonly utilized in sectors such as aerospace, naval architecture, and mechanical systems engineering. The advancement in near-α titanium alloys is regarded as a major milestone in the advanced study and thermal processing of titanium-based metal alloys. This study focused on enhancing thermal processing techniques for next-generation heat-resistant titanium-based alloys fabricated via laser melting deposition (LMD). Heat processing was carried out within a temperature range of 750-1, 050°C, encompassing three distinct typical temperature ranges, i.e. HT1, maintained at 750°C being beneath beta transition temperature of TA15, HT2 (950°C) temperature approaching the β-phase change threshold and HT3 (1, 050°C) exceeding β transition temperature. The impact of thermal processing on structure and the mechanical characteristics of TA15 titanium at ambient temperature LMD samples is examined.
