Proposed lightweight encryption improves security and processing time in resource-constrained healthcare IoT devices, suggesting better authentication protocols.
Abstract IoT devices present hurdles in device management, privacy, centralized system failures, and malicious assaults in the healthcare industry. Medical photos and EHRs must be securely transferred between cloud-based services and IoT devices. The healthcare industry uses IoT extensively, but many firms are ignorant of its security weaknesses, which affect encryption and authentication. Traditional IoT health solutions often lack the security, authentication, and identity management needed to securely transmit data with these devices. The work proposes lightweight encryption for resource-controlled health IoT devices. ASCONv 1.2 encryption and decryption are used for efficiency. The Hypercube Optimal Search Algorithm can optimize keys and other parameters to make ASCONv 1.2's resource constraints more relevant. The Modified Wild Keys (MWG) algorithm improves local and global search and medical IoT device resource efficiency. Comparing this technology to traditional encryption, experimental results show 16.859% higher dependability and 15.36% lower processing time. PSNR, MSE, BER, and structural similarity index are crucial performance evaluation metrics that verify our model works well.
