Mathematical model analyzes load distribution and dynamic processes in pumping units, indicating efficiency improvement opportunities.
The article examines the problem of load distribution between an adjustable and an unregulated pumping unit during their parallel operation. A mathematical model has been developed in the Matlab&Simulink environment, which makes it possible to analyze dynamic processes during operation of parallel centrifugal pumping units. The operation of a system with one frequency converter for two pumps is investigated, including the process of starting an additional unit with increasing water consumption. It was found that with insufficient water consumption for the regulated pump to reach its nominal speed, its efficiency is in the range of 0.25-0.78, which indicates operation in an inefficient zone. The simulation results show the ability of the developed model to take into account the nonlinear nature of the hydraulic part during parallel operation of pumps in a dynamically changing system. This allows you to explore different operating modes and optimize management to increase energy efficiency.
