Analytical expressions reveal how scattered field intensity is influenced by cylinder radius and beam parameters.
Based on the generalized Lorenz-Mie theory and the cylindrical vector wave function expansion of vector Bessel vortex beams, this work derives analytical expressions for the internal field and scattered field when a Bessel vortex beam is incident upon an infinite cylinder. The correctness of the formulation is verified both analytically and numerically by degenerating the Bessel vortex beam into a plane wave. The characteristics of the far-zone scattered field are investigated, and the effects of beam parameters and cylinder radius are analyzed. The results demonstrate that the scattered field intensity increases with higher incident wave frequency and larger cylinder radius, and the scattered field intensity decreases as the beam half-cone angle or topological charge number increases.
