Event-triggered control improves performance in vehicle platooning systems under cyberattacks, suggesting practical advancements.
This study investigates the event‐triggered control for vehicle platooning systems (VPSs) under cyberattacks, time‐varying topologies, and communication constraints. To improve the practicality, a type of hybrid attacks involving false data injection (FDI) and denial‐of‐service (DoS) attacks is considered whose dynamic is modeled by two Bernoulli stochastic processes. To describe the time‐varying topology, a semi‐Markov stochastic process is used, which is more general than the commonly used Markov stochastic processes. Furthermore, an adaptive event‐triggered mechanism is applied to save the communication resources. By constructing a mode‐dependent Lyapunov function, sufficient conditions are derived to ensure closed‐loop stability with a certain level of mixed and passivity performance. Finally, numerical simulations are conducted to validate the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy for VPSs with time‐varying topologies and attack.
