Analysis of pulmonary function indicators in workers exposed to industrial aerosols, suggesting improved diagnostic methods for OCOPD.
Occupational chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (OCOPD) and its complications play a significant role in the formation of the structure of occupational morbidity. The article is devoted to the assessment of pulmonary function in occupational chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and its comorbid conditions. During followup monitoring of workers exposed to industrial aerosols of chemical and fibrogenic nature, it is recommended to monitor the dynamics of pulmonary function indicators at least once every 6 months, which will allow improving the diagnostics of obstructive disorders among workers in industries potentially hazardous in terms of the formation of occupational chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, assessed by the FVC, FEV1, FEV1/FVC, and PEF indicators, as well as predicting the isolated course of the disease and its comorbid course combined with arterial hypertension.
