This scientific paper presents the results of a comprehensive study on the standardization of vitamin A substances produced using the original domestic technology. The possibility of using the substance both as a material for a standard sample and as a pharmaceutical substance has been proven. The relevance of the study is due to the lack of Russia's own production facilities for the production of this important biologically active substance, which creates dependence on imported supplies. The object of research in this work is the vitamin A substance obtained from natural raw materials. To assess the quality of the substance, a multi-stage quality analysis was carried out using quantitative and qualitative determination methods, high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), IR spectroscopy, UV spectrometry, organoleptic method and other methods of analysis. The resulting vitamin A substance, having the quality characteristics of a pharmaceutical substance, can be confidently used not only as a component of chemical analysis in the form of an approved standard sample, but also as a starting product in the food and agricultural sectors of the national economy, including as a substance for the production of medicines. Also of particular importance for the fishing industry of the national economy is the application of the principles of waste-free production in the technology of obtaining substances. The results obtained are of great practical importance for the development of domestic drug production and can help reduce dependence on imported vitamin A supplies, which is especially important in modern economic conditions. The research makes a significant contribution to the development of the pharmaceutical industry and the strengthening of the country's food security
