This approach differs significantly from European or post-Soviet systems, which are dominated by standardized assessment criteria and a structured training system. That is why Brazil's experience is extremely important to analyze, especially in t he context of finding ways to modernize national sports selection systems. The purpose of the study – to analyze the system of sports selection of football players in Brazil, to determine its specifics and to assess the possibility of adapting such approaches to the conditions of Ukrainian football.
