Survey assesses knowledge and awareness of root canal treatment in patients with dental pain, highlighting improvement opportunities.
Background: Root canal treatment (RCT) is a common dental procedure used to treat severely decayed or infected teeth. Understanding patients’ knowledge, awareness, and perception of RCT is crucial for improving dental care and patient outcomes Materials and Methods: Following ethical approval and participant consent, a questionnaire was distributed to 500 individuals who had attended the Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics Department. The questionnaire covered demographic information and participants’ understanding of endodontic therapy. The gathered information was then compiled and examined. Descriptive statistical techniques, including frequencies and percentages, were used to analyze the data. Results: The majority of participants demonstrated a moderate level of understanding regarding endodontic treatment. Conclusion: An enhancement in comprehension and attitudes toward endodontic procedures was noted.
