The value of HDI in Central Java has always increased every year, but compared to other provinces in Java Island, it still has the second lowest HDI. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of poverty, GRDP per capita, morbidity rate, health insurance and tertiary education on the Human Development Index. This study uses data from 35 districts and cities in Central Java for 2021-2023. With the panel data regression method applied through Eviews 12 and using the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) model. The results of this study indicate that poverty and morbidity have a significant negative effect on HDI, while GRDP per capita, health insurance, and the population who completed tertiary education have a significant positive effect on HDI in Central Java. GRDP per capita has the most dominant influence on HDI in Central Java. The implication of this research is that the government is expected to encourage the improvement of regional development and increase aid assistance programs to all sectors related to the society.
