Abstract

This letter responds to the EPW editorial (EPW, Vol 60, No 11, 15 March 2025) on ASHAs, arguing that the ongoing protests highlight not just labour rights issues but deeper structural contradictions in Kerala’s care economy amid a rapidly ageing population.
