Synthesis of new quaternary materials shows improved electrical conductivity and alters thermal properties.
New quaternary Ba 2.75 Pb 1.1 Sb 4.1 Se 10 and its Te-substituted derivatives have been synthesized. Te substitution has significantly improved the electrical conductivity of the parent Ba 2.75 Pb 1.1 Sb 4.1 Se 10 , which has ultralow thermal conductivity.
