Experimental preparation shows an effective alumina catalyst for ozone oxidation, suggesting improved treatment of waste leachate.
Aiming at the problem of difficult degradation of organic pollutants in waste leachate, the Fe, Mn, Cu multi-metal composite alumina catalyst was constructed to study its performance in ozone catalytic oxidation treatment. The catalysts were structurally characterized by BET, XRD, XPS, and SEM, and combined with batch reaction experiments to evaluate their removal effects on COD and NH 3 -N, and to explore the ozone activation mechanism and reaction kinetics. The results showed that the composite catalysts with large specific surface area and reasonable pore structure, rich in surface active components and oxygen vacancies, were excellent in promoting the generation of free radicals and improving the oxidation efficiency.
