Quasi-experimental analysis found significant improvements in parenting skills related to stunting in children, indicating effective intervention methods.
Introduction: The issue of malnutrition in children under five years old remains a global health problem that affects the loss of children's potential, morbidity, and mortality. Objectives: This research aims to analyze the reinforcement of parental upbringing in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor/practical aspects of the prevalence of stunting. Methods: This research is a quasi-experimental design study using a pretest-posttest control group design approach with a sample size of 96 samples and employing consecutive sampling. Analysis test using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. Results: The three cognitive, affective, and psychomotor variables in the post-test scores had higher results than in the pre-test. Z-value statistical tests on the cognitive variable -6.900, affective -3.838, and psychomotor -5.975 with a p-value of 0.000 for all three variables indicate a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test groups. Conclusions: There are significant differences between the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor variables of mothers before and after the parenting intervention conducted.
