This analysis demonstrates improved employee performance through digitalization in SMEs, suggesting cultural adaptability is crucial.
This research looks into how work digitalization and innovation shape the performance of workers in SMEs by studying Kopi Kenangan (Indonesia), Three Squirrels (China), and M Squared Lasers (UK) together as multiple cases. Part of this research also looks at how digitalization is influenced by cultural factors and the dynamic capabilities of involved companies, following UTAUT and Dynamic Capabilities Theory (DCT). It is shown by the findings that better work digitalization means employees work more efficiently, bring more innovative ideas, and learn new skills. The way things are put into practice is not the same for every culture or business field. Technology acceptance is mostly influenced by performance expectancy and facilitating conditions, while organizations need sensing and seizing expertise to compete well. This work adds to the existing work on digital transformation in small and medium-sized companies and helps managers with decisions related to the digital sphere.
