Improving layout generation and implementation is critical to optimizing manufacturing and system simulations. Manual implementation processes are not only labor-intensive but also time-consuming, especially in scenarios where design changes are frequent or where multiple layout simulations are performed for statistical accuracy. To address this challenge, our research proposes an automated layout generation framework tailored for simulation environments. The framework starts by extracting layout components from CAD files and converting them into a structured, machine-readable format. It then employs sophisticated path-finding algorithms, such as A· or Hybrid A·, within an agent-based layout representation to identify feasible paths. We validate the effectiveness and adaptability of this framework through simulated deployments that reflect real-world conditions. In addition, we discuss potential avenues for future research and highlight the broad applicability of our framework.
