This is (not) a Bridge, it is a Stage on a Tripod

The Tianli Landscape Bridge is a pedestrian infrastructure project in Minhang District, Shanghai, strategically designed to connect urban developments along the Dianpu River. Conceptualized as a "tripod" bridge, the structure is not merely a physical connection but an urban space, an elevated public plaza over water.Responding to complex site conditions (proximity to elevated transport infrastructure, diverse neighboring architectural landmarks, and public green zones) the bridge synthesizes structural integration within the urban-scape. The design embodies asymmetry, curved geometries, and an architectural sensitivity that creates an immersive, sensorial urban experience. Despite delays due to economic factors, the project exemplifies a design methodology in contemporary architectural and engineering synthesis.
