Simulation analysis reveals maximum deformation and stress in solid engine under vibration and impact loads.
Solid engine is subjected to temperature, vibration, and impact loads during flight, which have an impact on the charge. In this paper, random vibration loads and landing impact loads of airborne solid engine are simulated. Based on a reasonable simulation model simplification method, a finite element analysis model of solid engine is established. Modal analysis shows that the largest deformation of the head of the solid engine occurs in the 12th mode; The maximum deformation of the whole appears in the 17th mode. When the solid motor is subjected to random vibration load, when the random vibration frequency reaches 434 Hz, the stress reaches the peak value of 0.69 KPa. The simulation results of landing impact show that the maximum value of Mises stress and maximum principal stress both appear at the hexagonal star cylinder of the head.
