Experimental verification demonstrates improved handling stability in multi-axis special vehicles, suggesting effective simulation modeling.
This article takes the five-axis heavy-duty special vehicle as the research object. In accordance with the requirements of the study on handling stability, and considering the six-degree-of-freedom motion of the vehicle body, the rotational motion of the tires, and the vertical motion of the suspension, a unified dynamic model and a refined model for the multi-axis special vehicle have been established. Based on Trucksim, a parameterized vehicle model has been constructed, including the vehicle body model, tire model, suspension model, power transmission system, etc. The model has been verified through actual vehicle parameters and experimental data. The established multi-degree-of-freedom dynamic model can highly fit the characteristics of the actual vehicle and provide a reliable and high-fidelity simulation platform for control design or stability research.
